The dual-motor design means it’s extremely powerful (maybe very strong), but you do not need to depress the accelerator pedal. This large force is very useful for steep terrain. It also has a pretty solid range (just under 20 miles). The downside is that it weighs 64 lbs. This deal is rolling out to the new Apollo Air for free; It’s not powerful, and its range is much shorter, but it’s lightweight and rides well—handy for any newcomers who join your cars.
Want an ebike but hate the prices? Propella (8/10, WIRED Rec recommended) is our pick if you’re on a tight budget, even better with this deal. It has reputable components, like a Samsung battery and Shimano disc brakes, and it ships directly to you.
WIRED reviewer Matt Jancer says you get a lot for your money with Freedom 2, so this deal makes it an even sweeter package. It has solid acceleration, doesn’t weigh 64 pounds (only 39), has integrated headlights and taillights, and an alarm with a key fob.
Ebikes are great. If you don’t have much space, a foldable e-bike is the way to go. This one from Lectric Ebikes is one of the most affordable (7/10, WIRED recommends), and this deal gets you three free accessories. It’s a heavy 63-pound, so this might not be a good choice for anyone on a hike, but it’s fast, comes with plenty of attachments, and has a sturdy suspension.
WIRED editor Adrienne didn’t care much about this Bunch bike, but her family did. It’s a box bike that can carry your kids, ideally on flat ground, and there are plenty of accessories you can add to personalize it. The brakes are great and there are headlights built in, but the range isn’t as high as we’d like. It’s not the most comfortable ride.

It’s a spending system, but it’s a very versatile system if you want to take different types of shots when you’re out on an adventure.
