B&HAnd Best Buy ($900)

This deal is only $50 more than the best price we’ve seen on our favorite MacBook. You’ll get powerful performance, a sharp, colorful 13″ screen, all-day battery, and complete silence thanks to the fanless design. Be sure to check out our MacBook buying guide to see which model is right for you.

This 13-inch laptop from Razer has an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. But the most surprising feature is the vibrant 4K touch screen. The bezels around this screen are thin enough to sometimes forget they’re there.

AmazonAnd Best Buy ($749)

This deal started in October, but it’s still very good. Once upon a time, this was the best Chromebook on the market. These days, that award will likely go to the Galaxy Chromebook above, but that’s still a solid 13-inch device, especially the Core i5 model on sale here.

If you love the size and weight of the MacBook Air but prefer the keyboard and Windows-based features of the ThinkPad, the 13-inch X1 Nano is for you. It’s thin and lightweight (weighing no more than 2 pounds), but it has ThinkPad proportions—a great keyboard, red pad, and buttons on the top of the trackpad. This model features an 11th generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. Beware that it won’t charge for 2 months.

HP’s Specter x360 (9/10, WIRED recommendations) has always been a favorite of ours. It’s a great looking laptop, and the specs on this 14-inch model make it a lot for most people. You get an 11th generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD. For another $90, you can increase the RAM to 16GB, which is worth it because the RAM here is soldered to the board.

Similar to the 14-inch model above, the 13-inch Specter is slightly smaller and cheaper. With an Intel Core i5 chip, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD, you can get enough power for editing documents, browsing the web, editing photos, and other everyday tasks, although you wouldn’t want to edit video on this device. .

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2

best buyAnd Samsung (choose Core i3)

The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 (8/10, WIRED Recruitment) is one of the most beautiful Chromebooks on the market. It has a solid and lightweight aluminum chassis with a build quality that outshines many of the more expensive laptops I’ve tested. The bright, colorful screen isn’t quite as beautiful as the original 4K model, but it’s still much better than most Chromebooks. The original Galaxy Chromebook is also selling for $599 ($100 off). It has great specs, but the battery life isn’t very good.

MicrosoftAnd best buy

This is a good deal on the AMD version of the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 (7/10, WIRED recommends). It’s a rugged and well-designed laptop, with a gorgeous 3:2 ratio screen that provides extra space for reading and working on documents. Other more powerful and more expensive AMD configurations are also on sale. Take a look at our Surface buying guide for some other options.

AmazonAnd Walmart

An 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processor in a laptop for under $800? This isn’t very common, and that means you can get heaps of energy for a decent price. The Swift 3 is in our best cheap laptops guide, and we love its no-nonsense design and IPS LCD screen. It scores well in battery tests and has plenty of ports.

Monitor deals

Nothing will enhance a work from home game like a huge screen. The screens below are the best deals on our favourites.

With a fast refresh rate (144Hz) and support for both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync, this curved monitor delivers smooth graphics. This is the lowest price we’ve seen on this monitor, and it’s an especially good option for gamers.

AmazonAnd best buy (sold)

The G3 is a slight step up from the G7 above, with the resolution going from Wide QHD to Full HD, but still having the same refresh rate and AMD FreeSync support, which is less than half the price.

AmazonAnd best buy

We didn’t test this projector, but it received positive reviews from all over the web. It’s perfect for gaming, with a maximum screen refresh rate of 270Hz (with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync support), 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution, and an IPS panel for brilliant color.

WIRED contributor Simon Hill uses and loves this monitor every day. It has an IPS LCD panel, which means you’ll get some great color, and there’s a 144Hz screen refresh rate in case you want to use it for gaming after work (or while you’re at work, you do). There is VESA mounting support and 1440p resolution.

Network and Router Deals

European Netgear AX4200

We haven’t tested Netgear’s Nighthawk XR1000 gaming router, but it’s claimed to offer amazing speeds, apps for iOS and Android, and support for Wi-Fi 6.

AmazonAnd targetingAnd best buy

This is one of the easiest mesh systems to set up, according to our guide to the Best Wi-Fi Mesh Systems, and it also includes Wi-Fi 6 support, giving it a little future-proofing. You get a router and two points to place around your house, and speeds were consistent with no drop in our tests. Alexa support is there, although we didn’t like that it’s missing some extra features like quality of service to prioritize activities, and the inability to separate Wi-Fi bands.

we changeAnd Best Buy (2 packs for $330)

Netgear Orbi AX4200 is our preferred mesh system for larger homes. It’s not the easiest to set up, but luckily, you only need to do it once. When you’re done, you have a system that easily covers large areas and provides very good speeds, with satellite nodes roughly the same as the main router.

targetingAnd best buy

Google’s Nest Mesh is easy to use and provides good coverage. It lacks support for the new Wi-Fi 6 standard, but at this price, it’s still a good buy. If you don’t have a lot of space to cover, a single unit (router only) costs $139 at Amazon ($30 off).

This stationary desk with a motor is pricey, but also one of the most elegant and seamless standing desks we’ve tested. It’s 25 to 52 inches long, and there’s an opening in the middle of the back to route your cables. The branch is sold out sitewide, with $20 off chairs (the comfy chair is our top pick), and there’s an office chair package for $120.

Secretlab’s metallic Magnus desk is pricey and heavy, but your stylish interior geek will love the way they make cable management easy. Commentary Editor Julian Chokkattu says Magnus will solve your cabling issue and give you peace of mind. Read more about it here.

Amazon (click coupon button)And Flexispot ($231)

This is arguably the best standing desk you can get for the money. Commentary Editor Julian Chokkattu has had it in his bedroom over the past year, and while its installation instructions aren’t the best, it works as advertised every time. There are height presets, a relatively smooth drive to lift the desk up and down, and it doesn’t look cheap by any means.
